Inktober Witch Final

So somehow I totally forgot to scan the last two pages of my Inktober Witch project in October.  For the first page: October 26th is farm theme, October 27th is cook/chef, October 25th is insect, inspired by Thumblina, and October 29th is Lunar witch, so of course Sailor Moon/Princess Serenity inspired.  October 28th accidentally made it onto the next page and was Goth/Punk theme.  Also on the second page is October 29th Alchemist, I went with a Harry Potter robe.  October 30th was ghost witch, I gave her Sadako/Samara Ring girl hair.  And finally a free space, o Kawaii Witch lolita outfit.  More Outfits

More School Projects

movie poster

skateboard decks
So these are the last three projects I did for my computer graphic class last semester (not including a portfolio project, which was just a document with all the projects we did throughout the class).  The top is a watch drawn in Adobe Illustrator.  It is based on two real watches (the band from one and the face from another).  The second is a movie poster.  I changed it a bit after class based on feedback received in peer review.  For this project we had to come up with a basic concept for the movie.  My movie, titled "Divided" is a near future sci-fi drama starting Scarlett Johansson as dual roles.  The movie focuses on a pair of twin sisters, (Piper and Pepper) who find out one of them is a clone, but do not know which one. Each woman then questions what it means to be human, ect...  And plot twist... It turns out both of them are clones and the orignal died during the experiment and many other copies exist, ect.  The tag line is "A secret brought then together... now it will tear them apart."  I imagine it will also have Natalie Portman as a scientist and Tom Hiddleston as a love interest.  The direct I put on the poster is Nacho Vigalongo, whose done a few movies and I would love to see a sci-fi movie by him.  The last picture is a three part assignment, which we had to use Photoshop, Illustrator and a combination of both to make a set of three coordinating skateboard decks.  The first deck is all Photoshop.  The second is all Illustrator.  And the last is both programs.  I tried to design the boards to look good upside down, since skateboards often get flipped around.  My theme was a broken ball joint doll who is turning into crystals.

Takara Jenny Paper Doll

Hello everyone.  First day of school today.  Should be an easier semester because I don't have as many classes and one is online.  I did this paper doll a while ago and never posted it because I thought I might add more outfits.  This is a Takara Jenny doll I own called Calendar Girl Jenny November.  I may use this base again for other Jenny dolls.

Debbie Fashions

back of page

quick color in Photoshop for fun

This single page paper doll is from the Katy Keen comics and features her blonde friend Debby. The top of this old comic paper doll is a bit frayed, cutting off just the top of her hair.  She has seven stylish outfits.  I don't have a date for this.  On the back is a template of a dress that can be colored and designed by the readers.  I did my own quick color in Photoshop.

Figurine Paper Doll

My orignal idea for this doll was to use a bell figurine doll to 'ring in the new year' but I didn't find a bell figure that I liked enough as a base.  The doll base is a Josef Original by George Good, the August Birthday that I found on Pinterest.  I changed her outfit to be more plain.  The dresses aren't from any figurines in particular, rather inspired by the general style.  Some items are meant to layer over the yellow dress.  I also gave her a few hairstyles.  Her eyes look a little alien like.  I may do another project like this but actually use Josef figurines as reference for the outfits.

Lei Lani

This single page paper doll is from Children's Play Mate Magazine October 1942.  She is named Lei Lani and is drawn by the artist Fern Bisel Peat, who also did the cover art for the issue of the magazine. Lei Lani has one Hawaiian themed  outfit with headdress and shoes. This is the sort of doll, as a kid, I would make outfits for, which I may do later.  She's too cute!
